Harry Vardon and Bobby Jones at Inverness, 1920 Toned vintage gelatin silver print 6 x 4 inches Photographers stamp on verso.Taken during the 1920 US Open Championship held at the Inverness Club, an informal close-up of Bobby Jones and Harry Vardon posing for Pietzcker shortly after completing their third round of tournament competition. While registering a 70 versus Vardon's 71 for the lowest third round score of the championship, Jones played poorly and ended up in a tie for eighth at 299. Defeating Vardon and three others by 1, Ted Ray won the title with a 295 being 7 over par. Vardon: US Open Champion: 1900.
